Today we are talking about the kind of proof you think you need before you make. Your next move who's out there seeking proof. Seeking proof that it's gonna happen, wanting proof that they're good enough.
Oh, yes, I see you're doing it left, right, and center. [00:01:00] Whether that is proof, it is. Safe enough to literally stop being the version that you've been or the version that your audience is used to, and let them meet this new version of you or proof that it's safe to play bigger. Without feeling like you're gambling the business you've already built or proof that actually it's safe to show up in a way that actually matches the size of your goddamn vision.
And you know what can I tell you? Lean in to a little secret if you wait for that proof first. You will never actually get it. And I know that's not what you wanted to hear today. I know you are like, Beck, I didn't want those words to come out your mouth, but here we are. Okay. And in this episode I am going to show you why your brain works this way, because it does.
And [00:02:00] actually how our own internal representation is keeping you looking. For the proof sitting, looking for the proof, and actually how to rewire it so you can create the proof after you've moved. Not before, not before. Okay. So every second of every day, your brain is flooded with more sensory information that you could ever, ever, ever, ever process consciously.
Okay? And that. Information coming in. All information that we take on is filtered through your past experiences. It's filtered through your beliefs that you hold about yourself. It's filtered through values that you have. It's filtered through memories that you have, [00:03:00] and what comes out is not the raw reality, okay?
It is your. Your internal representation. So that means it's your own condensed version of the world, okay? And it's made up with the images that you see in the, in your mind, it's made up with the words that you hear. It's made up with the feelings that you've attached to them. So when you are thinking, or dreaming, or visualizing or pondering on your next level, whether that is raising your prices, whether it is.
Like running the biggest event that you've ever thought of, whether it's scaling with a bigger team, whatever that is, your subconscious reaches back into the office of your mind for the file that it already has on that. Now, if you haven't lived it yet. That file is empty, [00:04:00] of course, we have no experience of it, right?
So when the file is empty, your mind fills that gap. Fills that file with what is familiar. So maybe it fills it with this familiarity around the last offer that you sold or. The last audience size that you held, or the last price point that you felt safe with. So you might be telling yourself, God, yeah, hell, to the fricking, yes, I'm ready for bigger.
Let's go. Let's go. But actually the pictures in your mind are still showing that old frame and naturally your behavior naturally follows the movie you are watching. The movie that you see even when your goals are bigger, right? So it feels smart. Of course it does. It feels smart [00:05:00] to wait until you've seen it happen.
I must see it to believe it. I must have. Gone through it to believe that it's gonna happen for me, but actually that's how you end up living inside the same film on repeat, because when the internal representation, the picture inside your mind doesn't change first, guess what? The fricking external results won't either.
Because that internal representation drives your state, your physiology, your results, your behaviors, right? It is driving all of these, so these internal movies. Um, we like the internal movies. I do a lot of work on my client's internal movies, and they're actually a blueprint for me and for them for how they think, how they feel, how they act.[00:06:00]
So if your movie right now for signing. Let's throw it out there. Signing a hundred K client doesn't exist yet. If you have no movie on that, your subconscious isn't going to improvise. It will run the smaller, safer movies it knows, and you'll take the kind of action that keep you inside of that movie.
Okay, because your mind is wired to protect you from the unknown. I say it maybe six times in every single podcast. I know you're probably sick of me saying it now, but repetition is the key to change. So you know, right. Your mind is wired to protect you from what feels unsafe. And actually what it's done is it labels that smaller movie as success.
Okay? Yes. That's the success. Okay. We'll keep it there and it will label. The unfamiliar ones as risky. Okay. Which means you can feel absolutely committed on the surface, [00:07:00] like so consciously committed, you know? Exactly. Oh yeah. You feel that. You're feeling it, you're feeling it, but actually behind the scenes you are quietly steering yourself back into the familiar.
And actually what you've now already realized is that waiting for evidence that it works is like waiting for a film to be made before they've handed the scripts to the actors. So instead, instead, we build the movie first and we build it in so much gorgeous sensory detail. So actually your mind starts treating it as something that it's already lived.
Okay. Your, your subconscious doesn't know the difference between what is real and what is not. So we can create this new internal representation one where we can really look at the beliefs and make sure they sit in there as well. 'cause that's the work that I do too. But then start to [00:08:00] see, okay. Rewiring is what will make your brain stop throwing up the resistance because it's actually no longer the unknown.
So once you've built that internal movie, one that's gonna support you, and one that's kind of driven from the beliefs that you have behind it as well, you will start behaving differently. The way that you hold yourself will change your tone changes. Like I've literally heard my client's voice change the way that they sit in front of me changes, noticing opportunities that you wouldn't have fricking seen before because you were in the wrong movie, and that is the ripple effect of.
Rewiring this movie before chasing the proof. Now, if you've already built your business to, well, whatever that looks like, or you've hit the big milestones, or you've, you know, maybe had a bit of a track record that you're very proud of, this [00:09:00] is often where I find the trap actually starts to tighten because you are used to winning.
Your brain is even more. Invested in protecting that win. Okay. This is why a lot of high level, you know, high achiever, high, um, very ambitious women get stuck in this, what we call like the glass ceiling or the ceiling. It, it becomes very well known for them, and that is because. Your brain thinks, okay, we know how to get here.
We've got evidence for this. Why the fuck do we need to gamble it on something that we haven't proven yet? Okay, so actually the weight for proof that reflex feels strategic, but actually as your subconscious very much is, it's a very sophisticated form of stalling. Of stalling, [00:10:00] right? It's dressed up as caution.
It's like, no, no, no. No, no, no. And that's how you end up, right? Mapping out, yes, the higher price point, but holding off until you get signs that your audience are ready or you. Create a new offer, but you kind of mention it that lightly, that no one fucking knows about it, and then you're waiting for someone to ask about it first.
You're like, oh yeah, no, you know. Um, well, I, well, I have talked about it, but no one, no one's asked. No one's asked. And then I like, question my client and I'm like, oh, have you, when. Because I didn't fricking see it and I watch you all the time, or you are kind of testing the next move. Maybe you test it once you see no instant gratification, you see no instant external validation, no instant spike, and you shelve it before it can even take off anywhere.
Okay. This is your internal representation doing its job too. Well, it is keeping you in the movie that [00:11:00] you have already mastered. And here's the thing, right? Externally, everything looks okay. You know, you are still the one that maybe others look as an example. You're still successful, which makes it actually then even easier to convince yourself nothing's wrong.
Even when there's that little voice, that little. Tap, tap, tap that little quiet pull for more. So until the movie changes, the frame stays the same, and you cannot expand your reality by replaying the same scene. And that goes to any business owner, well, any person in any area of their life. If you keep replaying the same scene over and over and over and over and over again in your head, the same external reality is going to, to keep happening is gonna keep happening.
You know around you, and that's why the rewiring happens [00:12:00] first. So your mind starts expecting more, scanning for more, instead of it filtering it out, getting rid of it, not allowing you to see the opportunities, and then favoring in the familiar. So when you stop waiting for the proof and start building the proof internally, before you move, I hear you say, Beck, how the effing Jeff in?
Do we do that? So the first step that I want you to do is. To build the new movie, build the new movie, baby. I want you to see it. I want you to hear it. I want you to feel it in fricking hd, like high definition 180. Times, whatever it is that you put on YouTube. High definition, right? Who's in the room with you in that movie?
What's being said? What are you wearing? What are [00:13:00] you holding? What are you feeling in your body? What are you saying to yourself? What can you taste? What can you smell? Make it so real that your subconscious starts to file it in the little cabinet under. Already lived. Ah, yes, we've already done that. So when you start to move into that next level, your, your subconscious goes back into the filing cabinet and goes, yeah, actually, okay.
We, we have done that. Step two, we want to really. Anchor that state. So when you build a movie, when you are building that movie, when you are seeing the things, hearing the things, a lot of the feelings we want to tap into, a lot of the emotions are very important. So when you've seen that movie, when you've built that movie, I want you to be able to anchor back to that movie at any given time, whether it's in how you breathe, whether it's a gesture, whether it's a [00:14:00] song, whether it's.
Perfume, whether it's a piece of clothing, whatever it is that locks in the feelings from that movie. Okay? And the more you practice the movie, the more you play the movie, the more your subconscious gets very safe in the movie. And we wanna create that safety in the new movie. The more we can anchor in and the more we can really drive that with emotion, the stronger it will get.
And actually day by day, week by week, you'll then be able to step into that movie instantly. And guess what? That then becomes the internal representation, which then affects your state, affects your physiology, affects your behaviors, affects your results. So rather than looking and waiting for the proof, we change the movie and we become the fricking proof.
Okay, step three, I want you to act from there. Okay. This movie, this internal [00:15:00] representation becomes the launchpad for your next actions. So instead of moving from, oh, well, yeah, like, I mean, I hope I do it or. Um, well, I'm just gonna wait and see, or when your parts of you come in and go, well, we haven't got the fricking evidence, so we are not gonna be able to do this.
You are actually moving from, okay, this is how I show up. This is what it looks like. This is how it feels. Oh, what's that over there? Yeah. What's that there? Because your brain now filters. Expecting of this new level, and it will literally start pulling in matching evidence. This is literal manifestation 1 0 1.
You know, I don't really vibe with the word manifestation, but like this is what it is. This is the neuroscience slash NLP version of manifestation. They're both the same thing, right? But I like it more in these tangible steps. So. You will start to see that your, your reticular activated system will [00:16:00] start matching the evidence to this new movie.
The right people will find you. The conversation shifts the. The messages that you are putting out, like your content lands differently because your energy is different. People sign up differently. There's so much magic that happens when you change the movie and the movie is living in your mind, baby. So you've got a hundred percent control over it.
This is how the external proof shows up. Okay, then the proof is there, but by then you're already fricking moving anyway. Okay, so if you have been waiting for proof for evidence, remember your mind is only showing you the future. It's already rehearsed, and now you get to show it something new. So I want you to practice building that movie.[00:17:00]
Let your actions follow the version of you who is already there. The evidence will catch up. It always does when you lead first. Always, always, always. I hope you've enjoyed today's episode.
